Master of Engineering Practice

Coursework master's Related to a Green List occupation Engineering

Waikato built this one in response to employer demand for work-ready engineers and for international students wanting a taught rather than research master's. It carries a management component and finishes with a capstone research and development project on an industrially relevant problem. Available at 120 points over a year, or 180 points over one to one and a half years, with intakes in Trimester A (March) and Trimester B (July).

Where this leads

These Green List occupations are relevant to this programme, and each carries a defined pathway to residence. Relevant is not the same as qualifying: several engineering roles ask for an accredited undergraduate engineering degree or an Engineering New Zealand letter, which a master's does not supply. Read the requirement on the role itself.
