University of Canterbury

坎特伯雷大学

Canterbury has the widest range of engineering master’s degrees in the South Island, and the strictest entry of the group. Its engineering master’s ask for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, a Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science with Honours. A three year bachelor degree on its own is not enough, though the university runs a Pre-Master’s semester for applicants who fall short.

Why study here

Be realistic about entry

Entry to the engineering master's is at honours level. If your degree is a three year bachelor without honours, look at the Pre-Master's semester or at another university first.

A Pre-Master's route exists

Canterbury offers a one semester Pre-Master's programme specifically for international applicants who do not yet meet the entry requirement.

Three named engineering master's

Civil Engineering, Engineering Studies and Engineering Management are each published with their own fee.
